Mineral de la Reforma: a municipality in its centennial, 1920-2020. Socio-historical analysis

The main objective of this work was to conduct research and analyze the sociohistorical and demographic development of one of the most highly urbanized municipalities in the state of Hidalgo (Mexico) from the 1920s to 2020. To achieve this, three fundamental aspects are addressed throughout the book: 1) the historical relevance of mining in the morphological, spatial, and sociocultural formation of Mineral de la Reforma; 2) the special configuration of the memory-modernity binomial that informs the municipality's journey throughout its history and up to the present; 3) aspects related to its sociodemographic and urban planning configuration in the 21st century. Therefore, different analytical perspectives are incorporated, giving this work great value. A single common thread encompasses a plurality of analytical methodologies and perspectives, which ultimately provide not only detailed knowledge of the municipality's composition, but also of its major challenges.
