Identification of the Socioeconomic Profile of Members and Managers of PSEOs in La Concordia Canton
Synopsis
The social and solidarity economy represents a strategic pillar for productive inclusion and territorial development; however, in the La Concordia canton, there remains a lack of systematic data on the socioeconomic profile of members and leaders of social and solidarity economy organizations (SSEOs), a situation that hinders understanding of its impact on organizational management. The objective of this study was to identify this profile and analyze its relationship with sustainability, institutional efficiency, and participatory capacity. The research was conducted using a qualitative, exploratory, and literature review approach, involving a search for articles indexed in Scopus using the keyword “Socioeconomic profile” during the 2025–2026 period, document analysis, Scopus analytical tools, and co-occurrence visualization in VOSviewer. The results show that age, gender, educational level, income, access to financing, and participation in decision-making influence the organizational structure, financial management, and sustainability of OEPS. The discussion shows that these variables act interdependently, shaping conditions of inclusion, leadership, resilience, and institutional adaptation. It is concluded that educational strengthening, responsible financing, productive diversification, and participatory governance are essential for consolidating efficient, inclusive, and sustainable organizations.
