Environmental policy planning of Mexico’s government: 2013-2024. An analysis since the socioformative sustainability
Synopsis
This work identified, measured and contrasted the importance, on quantitative and qualitative terms, the promotion of environmental conservation and sustainable social development, on the two most recent federal administrations of the Mexican government, according to the basic planning document of each, the National Development Plan (NDP), as a main goal. The object to study was observed from the theoretical perspective of sustainable social development; the content analysis methodology was recurred: were defined as the universe to study the NDP 2013-2018 and the NDP 2019-2024. Conclusion is, in accordance with the analyzed and weighted categories, NDP 2013-2018 gave a quantitative greater importance to environment and sustainable social development, however NDP 2019-2024 assigned a most qualitative importance to the same topics.
