Synopsis

Through the generation of knowledge, universities are a fundamental pillar for the development of any country. To achieve a higher impact on sustainability strategies it is necessary that the information generated in the academic sector be public, accessible, and comprehensible for both decision makers and citizens. Codified knowledge is the visible side of the tacit dimension of knowledge, it refers to any argument expressed in a text. Research trends integrate the confluence or a structured totality of knowledge and allow the consolidation process of a field of study to be analyzed, as well as identify critical points and changes that arise in methodologies. Trends are not statics, they are positioned, replaced, and forgotten according to academic interest, time periods and citation of research topics. For that reason, this study analyzes trends and implications through the Codified Production that environmental research has had in the State of Morelos over a period of 10 years. A systematic review methodology was used through massive databases. The results show a favorable growth trend in terms of the number of publications generated by the Institutions, that generally follows a pattern aligned with global research trends, emerging topics, institutional and six-year policies.
