Synopsis

This study analyzes women’s participation in leadership roles within organizations of the Popular and Solidarity Economy (PSE), focusing on the barriers and opportunities that influence their access to and retention in leadership positions. It examines social, economic, and institutional factors related to the low representation of women in decision-making spaces, as well as elements that promote the strengthening of female leadership, including training, access to support networks, economic empowerment, and equal opportunity policies. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, using surveys, interviews, and observation to gather information. The study focuses on analyzing gender equity and female leadership as part of organizational strengthening and the sustainability of PSEs.
